Below is a collection of work I have created during my time enrolled in Kent State's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. The included pieces were created in the following classes: Public Relations Tactics, an upper-division course focusing on spokesman training, event planning, and public speaking and Media Relations and Publicity, a senior-level course centered around the creation of materials like media kits and pitch packages for online an print news, and the role of media relations. An employee newsletter included from my internship experience that I wrote material for and helped draft layout, at All Occasions Party Rental during the summer of 2013, is also available. Special Event Plan
Special event plan created in PR Tactics. Assignment was to pick a real-world client, research need for fundraising, and create a special event to raise funds. Plan entitled Harvest in the Park.

Press Release
Pitch package for Media Relations & Publicity. Assignment included building relationship and contact with a local, real-world client and creating a press release. Client was Kent's chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Package includes press release, objectives, FAQ sheet, email pitch sent to reporter at the Daily Kent Stater, and a suggested Twitter message.
